Most customers can use their SMARTY SIM abroad without changing any phone settings. If your phone doesn’t connect while you’re away, we’ve created step-by-step guides to help get you up and running.

Q: Buy "Out of plan" add-ons

Data, calls or texts outside the EU won’t work if you don’t have some “Out of plan” add-ons in your account. If you don’t use all your “Out of plan” add-ons, you can choose to put that money towards your next month or you can use it next time you need it.

Many countries are switching off 3G, just like the UK. Before you travel, check your device is compatible with the available network at your destination to be sure you can keep connected

If your plan includes calls and texts, they work just like home. They’re unlimited with no extra fees.
Subject to our fair use limit, you can use up to 12GB of data each month out of your monthly allowance. If you need more data, you can buy a data add-on.
