Keeping you connected during COVID-19
Staying connected has never been more important than in these uncertain and changing times. That’s why our team’s been working hard to ensure we keep SMARTY running smoothly in the coming days, weeks and months.
We’ve created this page as a hub where you can find useful information that will help you stay safe, healthy and connected to your loved ones. We’ll be keeping it regularly updated with all the latest news about SMARTY.
For those of you who may be concerned about calling NHS 111 from your SMARTY mobile, don’t be. This critical number is free and won’t affect your cash balance in any way – so you can call it as many times as you need to.
If you’d rather venture online, here are a few websites we think you may find useful:
- NHS.uk to stay up-to-date on the latest UK-specific health advice
- Gov.uk for the latest government policy and advice
- Full Fact to get fact-checked, accurate online information
We have also made the NHS website zero-rated. This means you can access it without using up any of your data – a little something to make life easier.
Keeping you connected
With more and more people self-isolating and working from home, the SMARTY network may be a bit slower than usual due to increased usage. But we are working to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
It may also be worth considering how your mobile requirements might flex over the next few months. Remember, you can easily change your SMARTY plan to ensure the right deal for you. All of our plans come with unlimited calls and texts, so there’s no reason for you to not stay connected. We also offer no tethering restrictions, so you can stay online wherever and however you need to, even with our Unlimited data plan.
In the event that you need to make international calls, details about the costs of both calls and texts, as well as topping-up your cash balance, can be found here: SMARTY Roaming & International
Life in self-isolation
With so much going on, we’ve also written a few blogs to help you get through these challenging times. Check them out here:

Help and support
It’s clear that for the near future we’re going to be relying on the online world more than ever – that’s why we’re committed to making sure you have everything you need to keep life running as it should.
If you need help with your SMARTY account, we have lots of useful articles to guide you along the way. Take a look through or search for a specific problem here: SMARTY Help & Support.
And if you still need assistance, our customer service teams are available to contact as usual, every day from 9AM to 5PM. Just login to your Dashboard, then click the webchat icon in the bottom right of your screen.
We are closely monitoring the situation as it unfolds to make sure we can keep you connected to emergency services, family and the people you love. Keep checking in for more updates.
