As soon as you’ve activated your own SMARTY SIM you can get your unique referral link via your dashboard, you'll also receive a SIM already linked to your unique referral code upon activation to your registered address. If your friend joins SMARTY using your link or SIM and then renews for a third month, then you’ll both get a gift card of up to £40 each. You can send this link to as many friends as you want to keep those rewards rolling in. Plus, you can get two additional referral SIM cards for friends every month, so they can pick a plan to suit them and join SMARTY in a flash.

As soon as you’ve activated your SMARTY SIM you’ll be able to get your unique referral link to send on to your friends. You will also be sent a referral physical SIM, already linked to your unique referral code, so you can give it to a friend, and both get rewarded! You can request up to two free SIMs per month to gift to your friends and family as you choose, making it even easier and faster for them to join SMARTY.

When a friend joins SMARTY via your referral you’ll get an email saying so. After your friend’s first renewal, you’ll both get an email from our gift card partner Buyapowa prompting you to choose your preferred gift cards. The value of the gift card depends on the plan your friend is on at the renewal date.

No. We believe sharing’s caring. So, you can share your referral link with as many friends as you like. Every time a friend you’ve referred joins SMARTY, and reaches their first renewal, you’ll both be eligible for gift cards. It’s as simple (and wonderful) as that.

You’ll be able to refer your friends in three ways:

1: Your referral link. You can find this on your dashboard as soon as you join SMARTY.

2: When you join we’ll send you a free SIM to give to whoever you like.

3: You can request to send or receive two physical SIM cards a month. Give these to your friends in person or get them sent directly to them. This makes it even easier and faster for them to join SMARTY.

Absolutely. As long as you’re not already on SMARTY you can sign up using your friend’s referral link, found via their dashboard, and you’ll be eligible for your free gift card once you pass your first renewal.

You’ll receive an email from our rewards scheme partner, Buyapowa within 30 days of becoming eligible. Choose your PayPal reward or gift card within 90 days of receipt, via this email, for either Amazon.co.uk, John Lewis & Partners (including Waitrose) or Uber (including Uber Eats). Your friend will receive the same. Once you’ve chosen your reward, you’ll get another email, containing your unique reward code, ready to spend with the supplier of your choice.

Buyapowa is the administrator of our referral programme – helping us to get you gift cards for the UK’s most loved brands. We share your name and email address with Buyapowa so that they can let your friend know who the referral is from and let you know when your friend has joined SMARTY. Also, when you both become eligible, Buyapowa will send you an email to choose your rewards and then provide you with your chosen reward on our behalf. They will not use your information for other purposes than facilitating the referral programme. Please refer to our privacy policy for more information on how we collect and process your personal data. If you do not want your information shared in this way, then please do not use the referral scheme.

How many physical SIMs can I get a month?

You can get two physical SIMs per month to send to yourself or others. Whoever you gift these SIMs to will be able to insert them straight into their phone (as long as it’s compatible) and get joined up to SMARTY by choosing a plan to suit them.

The value of the rewards you (referrer) and your friend (referee) will get depends on the plan they are on at their first renewal. If your friend has a plan costing £15 or more per month, you’ll get a £40 reward each. If they have a plan costing between £10 to £14.99 per month, you’ll get a £20 reward each. If they have a plan costing less than £9.99 per month, you’ll get a £10 reward each.
